Rewind

Kaylee and Martin’s wedding celebration will stay with me for years to come. Martin, a professional movie colorist approached me several months ago and asked about my availability. I was delighted to see that we were available.

This wedding ticked all the boxes. Beautiful people inside and outwardly. Meaningful and soulful words spoken and the pure joy brought by friends and family enveloped their day. Mazel Tov Martin and Kaylee

As a wedding videographer we are always delighted when we film at a location for the first time and this was a first for us at La Cotte Farm. La Cotte Farm is uniquely situated a stone’s throw from the charming village of Franschhoek. It offers proximity to the fun and bustle of the main street with all the quiet, privacy and rural charm of a working wine farm.

La Cotte Farm dates back to 1698 when the first of the eleven Huguenot Farms was granted to the French immigrants who fled their native country during the 17th century.

La Cotte is the only farm within walking distance from anywhere in the village making it an ideal destination for those staying in the village wanting a stroll before indulging in our delicious cuisine. We invite you to meander through our picturesque gardens with magestic views and lose yourself in the ambrosia of this hidden gem in Franschhoek’s crown.

The La Cotte Farm Heritage Restaurant is now housed in the original manor house. This gracious home has undergone several renovations over the last three and a half centuries and one can see remnants of Cape Dutch to Victorian as well as Georgian architecture. It is in this beautiful building with its spectacular interiors and high ceilings that bring heritage and beauty together. Rich fabrics with bold colour and splashes of coral that match a courtyard of red Bouganvilla against a stark contrast of whitewashed walls.
