Villa Del Balbianell
By putting this Lake Como wedding location first on our list, we run the risk of you falling in love with the first place you see! But it feels right to begin with such an iconic, and highly desired destination. Villa del Balbianello is a luxurious, and storied villa located about 30 km from the town of Como, and is only accessible by boat. A fact that only serves to elevate the exclusivity of this 18th century building and manicured gardens.
The panoramic views available from the terrace at Villa del Balbianello, are a dream for wedding videographers like us, and offer a one-of-a-kind Lake Como backdrop for couples. The perfect place to say your vows, or raise a glass. The extensive gardens and cute chapel on the grounds also offer charming places to tie the knot. Receptions can take place inside or out, depending on the weather, party size or day of the week. As this venue is open to the public at certain times

If you want your guests to experience a long weekend spent in the vibrant heart of Lake Como, within a luxurious oasis, look no further than Grand Hotel Tremezzo. A five-star, Art Nouveau style hotel built in 1910, overlooking the lake complete with incomparable mountain views.
The hotel is blessed with two acres of lovingly cared for gardens, ideal for cocktail hour celebrations or golden hour shoots with your wedding videography team. There are countless spaces to host drinks, ceremonies, and receptions at Grand Hotel Tremezzo, both inside and out. Our favorite has to be the private beach opposite the hotels’ iconic floating pool. A dreamy spot for welcome cocktails, especially if guests are arriving by boat.
Relais Villa Vittoria
We captured a real wedding a few years ago (see below) at Relais Villa Vittoria, and that place swept us off our feet from the moment we arrived. From the charming, ancient villa, to the wonderful lake views and elegant gardens.
There is not one inch of this Lake Como wedding location that doesn’t look absolutely magical.
The hotel is located in the romantic village of Lagio and sits directly on the banks of the lake, making it a spectacular spot for alfresco welcome drinks and evening cocktails. Inside you’ll find Relais Villa Vittoria offers a really intimate, villa-like feel, but with the added benefit of having all the modern amenities you could desire.
You’ll find there are many distinctive spaces available within the hotel that are ideal for intimate receptions and later night partying. Villa La Cassinell
This secluded luxury villa shares the Punto di Lavedo with the first Lake Como wedding location we featured, Villa del Balbianello, and benefits from the same mesmerizing views over the lake. What separates Villa La Cassinella from its neighbor is the 5* hotel experience it offers. A stay here feels like one spent on a refined private estate, but with an unmatched level of service and all the contemporary conveniences a recently refurbished property provides. Like the heated infinity edge swimming pool, state-of-the-art cinema and floodlit tennis court. This is a destination you and up to 50 guests will love to call home over a long weekend, and embrace every moment outside the wedding celebrations.

Ceremonies at Villa Pizzo typically take place within the gardens, or out on the Darsena. A spacious stone terrace split over two levels and sitting right on the water’s edge. An elegant space that needs little decor, considering just how breathtaking its backdrop is. There are various halls to be found inside, the largest of which can host up to 60 guests. If your guest list size is not so intimate, then a marquee can be erected outdoors for up to 150.
Villa d’Este
No list of wedding locations in Lake Como would be complete without including Villa d’Este, one of the world’s most historic luxury hotels. An opulent getaway the elite of society has cherished since 1873.
Villa d’Este is spread out over two grand palaces, and surrounded by flawlessly maintained outdoor spaces featuring one-of-a-kind, mythologically inspired garden architecture.
