Rewind

Getting married in a pandemic is no easy feat, having to also postpone is another unwanted layer of added stress. Not having all your loved-ones present is heart-breaking and in their case some relatives had to experience the day through the video we created for them. Thankfully, they had this beautiful event carefully documented for this very purpose. In spite of the challenges Bianca & Marius were able to celebrate their love for each other at the beautiful venue L’Avenir. A day full of joyous moments and an emotional one for many.

“We loved filming your wedding day at L’Avenir and sharing your particular love story for those that could not be there, and for years to come. Best wishes for an adventurous and beautiful future together.” David Stone, Missing Piece Films

L’Avenir’s rich history dates back to the late 1600s, when the estate was one of the very first sites identified for grape growing by the Cape’s earliest European settlers.

The estate offers various venues for celebrations and have named them after their wines. So the stylish Single Block venue was inspired by the modern elegance of L’Avenir’s Single Block Pinotage and Chenin Blanc and is a chic space which  accommodates up to 100 guests for your wedding at L’Avenir.
Inspired by L’Avenir’s flagship wine varietal, the exclusive Pinotage Lounge is the ideal setting for smaller, intimate celebrations, like a private wedding dinner and can comfortably host up to 12 people. This magical space overlooks L’Avenir’s maturation cellar and boasts impressive finishes. Small, but stylish and unique and possibly perfect for that destination wedding you had in mind.

Consider that there is also comfortable accommodation at L’Avenir Country Lodge, which makes getting home after the party so much easier for your guests.

A unique feature on this estate is the Hands-on Garden which was developed to honour the skillful workers that have for generations made an invaluable contribution to the Estate. This green space was created by L’Avenir’s employees and forms a striking and symbolic passage from the Pebbles Afterschool Care Centre to the cellar and Single Block wedding venue at L’Avenir.

The Hands-on Garden embodies L’Avenir’s values of humility, commitment and performance and is also the perfect backdrop for your wedding couple shoot.

If you’re wondering how to get here, a helipad was established for guests next to the Hands-on Garden. You could fly to L’Avenir Wine Estate to experience this special place or even consider this, fly there to plan your wedding at L’Avenir. Helicopters depart from the V&A Waterfront.
