The beautiful words spoken weave their amazing love story together in this beautiful place called Andreas
Nestling in the Bovlei Valley, just outside Wellington, a less well known, but very special part of the Cape Winelands, the Andreas Wine Estate is a hidden gem comprising of vineyards, an elegant eighteenth-century manor house and manicured lush gardens. It is the ideal base from which to explore the winelands and Cape Town area, and of course a great choice for a wedding in the Cape winelands.
Archaeological evidence suggests that the site of Andreas was occupied more than 300,000 years ago by the Acheulean people. More recently, Andreas was one of the first Huguenot settlements in the valley and the estate resonates with historical charm and elegance from this era.
Long, hot summer days, cooled by late afternoon breezes, chilly, wet winters and decomposed granite and shale combine to provide the perfect terroir for Andreas’ award-winning wines. Something to serve at your wedding!
Your wedding at Andreas vineyards, could be an intimate affair as it accommodates a smaller group allowing you to create your special, personalised dream wedding.
Wedding guests at Andreas are welcomed with a glass of bubbly while overlooking the spectacular view including the magnificent Manor House and rolling lawns. The ceremony could be quite memorable under the enormous pine trees. There are various choices and it depends on the size of your group.
Guests mingle on the manicured lawns before the ceremony begins, and where at times depending on your taste, delicious canapes and treats from the harvest table are served. This venue is flexible and accommodating and the hosts go out of their way to provide you with all that you dreamed of on your wedding day.
Something fun and not always done – a long family style table can be set up in the middle of the garden with bistro lights strung above the table to create that magical ambiance for your evening reception dinner. The dancefloor can also be situated outside on the grass or indoors – a dance floor would need to be brought in to protect the lawn or the wooden floors in the house.
Should you be considering the venue for an event or personal celebration then the garden can be filled with cocktail and lounge furniture and guests can mingle freely while enjoying canapés, bowl food and chilled drinks. There is also a possibility of doing a cocktail area for arrival of guests and then the main ‘party/event’ area can be on the lawn in front of the Manor House.
Sounds like a great place! Consider having your wedding at Andreas Estate, you could not ask for a better location with wonderful staff to support you on your wedding day.
